You may have wondered my journey with languages, as I have mentioned several on here. I have found my ins and outs with a number of languages that have spanned from as little as a few weeks or months to a few years. I guess you could say I get excited, bored, and inspired all too easily when it comes to picking up a language and anticipating delving into a new region, culture and tongue. Then deciding if I should commit to the process and if I have fallen in love with it.
My mind seems to be in many places at once. Sometimes even, I'm wondering what language will I pick up next and venture into? And what will be my goals and inspirations for it? Also sometimes, the quickness of the inspiration for starting comes as quickly as letting go of it all.
But I am a language lover at heart, I even minored in one in college. This blog helps me express my thoughts about language and my goals in terms of the process and the associations with it. Of course, there is nothing like sitting inside a cafe (or outside due to COVID-19) and sipping a hot latte in hand with opened books, and notebooks sprawled about while reviewing and studying a language. :)
Writing on Samaki also encourages me to share goals, ideas, challenges that pertain to a language that I was/am currently learning or enjoying pursuing. I hope you enjoy reading and perusing through some of these ambitions in the adventure of language learning.
For more detail on language, culture, and recipes I have a sister blog dedicated to this. You can find it here.
Here are some languages I have learned/ started to learn over the years. :)
